The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) has announced that the winner of its ?Gold Award for Project Financing? is the A30 highway project, in the Montreal region, with the participation of the Quebec Ministry of Transport, the Quebec Public-Private Partnership Agency and the Nouvelle Autoroute-30 consortium, led by Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras and Acciona.

The Canadian Council National Awards for Public-Private Partnerships were established in 1998 to honour governments and/or public institutions and their private sector partners who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in the establishment of public-private partnerships, which benefit the public interest in infrastructure projects or service delivery. The awards are presented annually to showcase Canadian excellence and innovation in project financing service delivery, infrastructure investment and/or generation of economic benefit, which result in enhanced quality of public services and facilities.

Nouvelle Autoroute-30 secured 1 billion Canadian dollars in financing from banks, structured in a 30-year loan of 810 million and a 5-year credit of 290 million, amid a spectacular slump in the long-term financial market.
