 Project description: Concession contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a new 19-km light rail transit system (LRT) in one of the main arteries of Toronto, Eglinton Avenue in Toronto (Canada). The project is the first and biggest of the broader C$12bn program adopted by Metrolinx, the provincial transportation agency, to improve the mobility in the Greater Toronto Area over the course of the next decades. Includes 25 stations and stops along the line. The project also includes: the construction of a 22,500 sqm maintenance and storage facility in the western end of the line; the procurement and implementation of all systems, including the train control system; and, the construction of third-party infrastructure for a number of local stakeholders, most notably the City of Toronto.
 Interesting facts:This contract is the largest one promoted by the City of Toronto.
