Iridium has been awarded the Hospital de Can Misses and two associated health centres on the Island of Ibiza (Spain). The total investment is 132 million Euros, with a concession period of 32 years and seven months.
The bidding group, lead by Iridium, with 40% participation in the concessionaire, was proposed on the 5th of January 2010, for the provisional awarding of this hospital, with a total of 297 beds and twelve operating theatres, with 45,853 square metres of new construction and 11,782 square metres of reformed buildings.
The contract awarded to Iridium, includes the execution of the works for the new Can Misses health care centre and two other associated centres, together with conservation and maintenance throughout the concession period. Provision of non-clinical services at the constructed centres, together with five other health centres and the hospital of Formentera included in the Management of the Área de Salud de Eivissa. In addition the concessionaire shall be responsible for the initial furniture requirements and basic equipment for the hospital and two health centres. Income is based on payment for availability and commercial operations.
The joint venture , in which VIAS is participating with 50%, shall execute the works within a period of two years and six months for the new Can Misses Health Centre complex and twelve months for the Health Centre of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia.
