The South Fraser Motorway in Vancouver, Canada is now in operation. The project investment was 765 million Canadian Dollars, with a 24-year concession period.
On the 19th of December, the South Fraser Motorway, in Vancouver, Canada was opened to traffic. The concessionary company, which has a 50% participation of ACS IC, the Iridium Concesiones Canadian subsidiary, obtained the “Substantial Completion” for the western segment, thus completing the construction works six months ahead of the forecast date.
The construction, which cost 765 million Canadian Dollars, includes four lanes, is 40 kilometers long and has a 80 km/h design speed from the Port of Delta to Fraser Heights in Surrey and has junctions with the 1, 15, 91, 99 and 17 motorways.
During the 24-year concession period, the concessionary company will be responsible for routine maintenance, winter road worthiness as well as the rehabilitation of the new highway and will receive income in the Province of British Columbia in the form of payment for availability
