The consortium in which Iridium holds a 50% participating interest has been awarded the contract for the final design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the “N25 Ross Bypass” project in Ireland. The construction consortium is made up of Dragados, with 50%, and BAM Civil with 50%.
The project consists of a 14-kilometre section of newly built motorway, including a 900-metre-long extradosed bridge over the river Barrow.
An investment of €173 million has been estimated, with a completion time of around three years, enabling the new motorway to be open for traffic by 2018. From then on, the conceding authority will make monthly payments for the availability of the infrastructure.
