The Arganda Metro project consists of 21.7 km of double-track that extended the Madrid Metro Line 9 between the stations of Puerta de Arganda and Arganda del Rey, serving 5.6 million passengers per year. The Arganda Metro runs along an exclusive right-of-way separated from traffic, with tunneled sections entering below-grade stations. The project includes supply and installation, testing and operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of seven trains and rail systems (signaling and train control systems, automatic train operations), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), traction power, and electrical distribution.
