The contract includes the design, construction, finance, and maintenance of the Príncipe Pío Intermodal Transportation Hub. The 28,300-m2, 2-level facility includes 30 platforms for urban and regional buses, a small mezzanine to connect to the metro system, an entrance for buses through a tunnel that connects directly to the A-5 highway, and an exit that connects directly to the Calle 30 tunnel, the main arterial road of the city. The transportation hub also connects the intercity bus lines that access Madrid via the Extremadura A-5 highway, lines 6 and 10 and the Opera-Príncipe Pío Metro branch, Cercanías Renfe trains on lines C-1, C-7, and C- 10, urban bus routes (EMT) terminal passing through the Glorieta de San Vicente, and long-distance bus lines.
