The new Plaza Castilla Intermodal Transportation Hub is located in the north of Madrid in the area of influence of the A-1 highway. The project includes the design, build, finance, and maintenance of a 59,650 m2 facility with one ground level floor and three underground levels. The facility includes 13 surface level bus platforms, mainly dedicated to urban buses, and a total of 30 bus platforms underground for interurban buses. The facility also includes a large commercial area, 453 public parking spaces, and connects to three Madrid Metro lines and 19 urban bus routes. Additionally, the project involves two exclusive access 900-meter tunnels to alleviate city traffic.
