Autoroute 30 in Montréal, Canada was a design-build-finance-operate-maintain project comprised of two sections – the western section included 42 km (26.1 miles) of new highway, while the eastern section included the long-term Operations and Maintenance on 32 km (19.9 miles) of existing to remain highway. The western section included a new 4-lane dual highway with two major bridges – the 1.9-km (1.2-mile) Serge-Marcil Bridge over the St. Lawrence River and the 2.4-km (1.5-mile) Madeleine Parent Bridge over Beauharnois Canal. Additionally, there were 69 structures, including 18 overpasses and underpasses, flyovers, 10 major interchanges, 12 junctions, and a tunnel under the Soulanges Canal. Autoroute 30 also features an ITS and tolling system that includes both manual and electronic toll collection.
